"the face"~

Today Rain did not stop any the woofers from having a great time, but there are no other dogs at Day-Stay that enjoy the rain as much as the Chocolate Labs. :D Here we see Maddy the Matriarch of Day-Stay giving me "the face" I alway get "the face" from Maddy when the day is over and she has been having to much fun and does not want to go home. Well Maddy Tomorrow is another day and the sun will be shining and the weather will be warm....lot of time to play then.

I want a New Toy...

Monday's at day-Stay are always new toy days :)

Bernie and Abby were the 1st to make good use of a spanking new tug-rope this morning. I hear from Stef that at one point 4 woofers were in a very loud game of tug-of war with the rest looking for a way to get involved. Too bad the rain came-on to strong this afternoon bringing the match to an end. We will see what tomorrow hold for the gang, rain or shine.

What a wonderful week at Daystay! I have to say I missed the pack on Tuesday (Jury Duty waits for no one!) but it was good to get back on Wednesday.  I for one have been enjoying the sun and warm weather, though the dogs have a hard time staying active for long in the heat.  So we take a lot of short breaks to lay on the nice cool stone by the chicken coupe. Or they roll around on the ground and play lazy wrestling games with each other instead of running about. Here are Pheobe and Kiffen doing just that. Almost looks like they're playing Twister!

Bright and sunny @ Day-Stay

After a weekend of Heavy Rain the woofers have been enjoying a full week of fun in sun. They got to meet a new caretaker this week Alicia, who will be working along with Stef keeping everyone very active as we start this Spring season.

King Hobbes, back on his thrown. With his loyal followers at his feet.  Hobbes has lost 6 pounds since we last saw him sitting on the overturned tub. Doesn't he look slim?  Kiffen and Bernie love to wrestle with him.

Lots of new dog's lately. Here's the most recent addition to the pack, Paula.  A little wary at first, but she soon relaxed and even got LB up and playing.  We're fairly certain she's a corgy mix. This is reinforced by the fact that she tries to herd everyone as they run around (and nips at my ankles!)

15 Days until Spring !!

Hello Everyone! It has been a few weeks since our last post, but this does not mean things have been dull at Day-Stay. As you can see Spring is in the air at Walk-About :) Bernie (the chocolate lab) has taken to Paula a very cute Corgi mix. Paula is our newest member and Stef will be updating you soon on her getting into the swing of things with her new friends.
