Still Smilin'

The new mulch is making everyone so happy - even me! One of these days we will have to get around to spreading it in the yard - but for now, its King of the Mountain! (Or Queen Abby of the Mountain, as is the case in the shot).

Today the new spring mulch was delivered. Twice a year the woofers that come to Day-Stay get a fresh batch of mulch for their play area.

They love it the most before it is spread and is still a lager pile to romp through, dig-up and as seen here, leaped over! *Thank you Hobbes for giving this post the perfect action shot. :)

Tuesday's Smile *Brought to you by Abby*

After a long 3 day weekend the woofer's were ready to let off some steam. Everyone was running circle around the the pen and there was much "Ruff-house" ;) Abby the Golden was no exception she loves a good wrestle and today Bernie and her had a blast.

It's been a beautiful week at daystay, and also a little kooky. Many of the dogs are having major changes in their home lives, so they get a little nutty.  But nothing blows off steam than a giant game of tug of war!  Here, Tulla and Kiffen are working together to try and get the better of Bernie (he can still drag them both around the yard).  Abby's thinking of getting in on the action, but needs a window of oppertunity.  Even with Abby's assist, Bernie kind of dominates the the game (he's like Hercules!).

Pre-Summer nap

This week at Day-Stay the Woofers have been very active, New toys, New Dog House and beautiful Summer like weather on Wednesday: whitch prompted us to break out the doggie pool . :)

As you can see from this photo all this playtime sometimes call for nap-time. After a quick 40 winks or less they are all up and ready once again for play with Stef or Alicia until it's time to go home.

"the face"~

Today Rain did not stop any the woofers from having a great time, but there are no other dogs at Day-Stay that enjoy the rain as much as the Chocolate Labs. :D Here we see Maddy the Matriarch of Day-Stay giving me "the face" I alway get "the face" from Maddy when the day is over and she has been having to much fun and does not want to go home. Well Maddy Tomorrow is another day and the sun will be shining and the weather will be warm....lot of time to play then.

I want a New Toy...

Monday's at day-Stay are always new toy days :)

Bernie and Abby were the 1st to make good use of a spanking new tug-rope this morning. I hear from Stef that at one point 4 woofers were in a very loud game of tug-of war with the rest looking for a way to get involved. Too bad the rain came-on to strong this afternoon bringing the match to an end. We will see what tomorrow hold for the gang, rain or shine.
